131229 Reimi/Erika update

I cleaned up Reimi's jawline and cheeks a bit.

I changed Erika's eyes to be more like previous versions (I had adjusted the shape, but it was too dissimilar to that of the previous versions), and cleaned up the shape of her lips. I also tweaked the shape of her nose bridge a little (it was slightly concave along the center line before).

Started on third version of Erika; progress on Reimi custom

I have started work on version 3.0 of Erika (I had designed but never fully printed a "version 2.1" that was very similar to the previous version except with internally-installed eyes). Basically I am applying the improvements I made with Reimi to Erika.

I am still working on Reimi as well. I moved her nose and jawline out a bit.

131213 Reimi custom update

I lowered the nose bridge and raised the tip of the nose a bit. I also adjusted the shape of the outside edges of the eye sockets a bit.

131209 Reimi custom update

I adjusted the shape of the nose, making it smaller, as well as making the bottom convex and the top concave. I also rotated the ears backwards.

131205 Reimi custom update

I softened the sides of the nose and tweaked the shape of the mouth. I also added a texture to the model and adjusted the lighting (Blender's default shading makes the model look too sharp).

131203 Reimi custom update

I tweaked the mouth and eye sockets a bit. I think I am now more or less done with the outside.

131130 Reimi custom update

I made several more changes. The biggest was that I removed the eye sockets from the base model. They were left over from previous masks that had externally-installed eyes, and were no longer necessary. I retained them so I could see the position of the eyes, but they were not easy to adjust since they were made up of several curves, and they also affected the shape of the area around them and made it harder to adjust. The eye shape is now solely defined by the cutter, which is a lot easier to adjust (I am also using it to show the position of the eyes on the NURBS model).

I also moved the inside of the cheeks upwards, moved the nose and mouth forwards a bit, made the nose more rounded, and softened the lips a little. In addition, I changed the back edge of the scalp so that it is defined by multiple curves in a similar way to that of the rest of the mask (before, it was defined by a single curve, making it sharper than it should be, and leaving a long thin hole in the model, which sometimes caused mesh repair programs to repair it incorrectly).

Here's what the original NURBS model now looks like in Ayam. I have a mirrored copy of the eye cutter for the other side, but I have it hidden here to show what that area looks like without it.

131120 Reimi custom update

I softened the cheeks as well as the areas on the inside and outside of the eyes. I also made the sides of the nose slightly concave and adjusted the shape of the nose bridge.
